Olive is a plant that requires direct sunlight – for each leaf. As an extremely hardy plant species, it does not require special care. The average annual temperature for growing olives is around 15 – 20 °C.
Olive is very resistant to drought. The critical period of olives in terms of moisture is August and September, the phase of intensive fruit growth.
Pruning is required every year. If it is left out, the tree disturbs the balance, lowers the yield, and the quantity and quality of oil are reduced.
